The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, April 29, tease that the CBS soap will take us back in time once again. If you caught Tuesday’s classic Y&R episode, you’ll be up to speed for the one airing Wednesday. It’ll continue all the drama of Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) intervention and several other intriguing storylines. Here’s what you can expect from this 2004 episode of The Young and the Restless.
First, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) bicker about Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). Christine is stunned to learn Phyllis told Daniel everything. Phyllis rants about losing custody of her son and the pain that brought her. She refuses to let Chris and Danny Romalotti keep her from Daniel again.
Meanwhile, Daniel insists he knows Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) isn’t his real father. Danny protests that Daniel doesn’t know the whole story and tries to explain. He argues that Phyllis is a manipulative woman who drugged him and convinced him Daniel was his child.
Danny talks about the sham marriage and the faked paternity test. The truth didn’t come out until much later – when Chris did some digging in the lab. Danny notes that he already loved Daniel at that point. He assures Daniel that he’ll always be his father, but Daniel’s a confused mess over all this and storms out.
Over with Katherine, her loved ones tell her goodbye since she’s choosing alcohol over them. Once she’s alone, Katherine feels she doesn’t need anybody. She takes a swig of booze and dozes off on the sofa.
After the room shakes a bit and the lights start to flicker, Rex Sterling’s (Quinn Redeker) ghost appears to Katherine. He gives Katherine some tough love before Phillip Chancellor joins them.
Katherine ultimately hands the glass over. She doesn’t want Rex and Phillip to leave, but they don’t think she should rush her trip to the other side. Katherine awakens wondering if it was a dream or a genuine visit.
Over with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), she’s upset over a body that was found in the sewer and wants the full scoop from Grace Turner (Jennifer Gareis). Grace wants to remain loyal to Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby), but Sharon feels Cameron might get rid of Grace once she’s not longer useful.
Sharon won’t take the fall for Cameron’s crimes and warns Grace could become an accessory to murder if she doesn’t cooperate. Grace is pressured to offer all the info she has on the body and how Cameron tied Sharon to it.
Elsewhere, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) faces off with Cameron and insists that he knows what went down. This was all part of a plan to implicate Sharon. Nick contends that Sharon’s rejection of Cameron drove him to destroy her along with Grace.
If Cameron did anything that firmly connects Sharon to this corpse, Nick warns that Cameron’s body will show up in the sewer next.
Later, the police are able to ID the body, which belongs to Frank Barrett – Sharon’s ex and Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) father. Across town, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) grills Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell) about her visit with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Lily wants to know what was said that turned Devon against her.
Dru reflects on when she first arrived in Genoa City and how much she actually has in common with Devon. She thinks back on her journey and the growth it brought.
