Jaden Smith just celebrated his 21st birthday and the milestone has made him rethink what he wants to do with his life. The artist has decided that he wants to become a full-time inventor.
After filming many of his visuals in the underprivileged areas of LA, Jaden decided to bring healthy food via vegan food truck. Mission I Love You was not a one-time event, he plans on continuously giving back to areas that are ‘food deserts’ aka places with no ‘good food’ within a five-mile radius.
The philanthropist explained his thought process to Complex Magazine: ‘We would lay down in this place and shoot the videos there in all of this trash to push the energy of this album. Being there and seeing the conditions that these people are living in and what it’s like, it made me be like, ‘You know what? When you’re exposed to something and you see it and you can’t turn a blind eye to it, then you try to do something about it.’ I was like, I want to give out free food to the entire community.’
The food truck event came just months after Jaden provided some of the residents of Flint, Michigan with a water filtration system. Additionally, his brand Just Water has grown more popular by the minute.
On the artistry side, Smith has dropped Syre and Erys which are both mega-successful. He also voices Kaz Kaan on Neo Yokio
All of his success has pushed him into changing his title.
Jaden told Complex: ‘I want the world to know that I am switching professions and that I am becoming a full-time inventor. I’m going to spend all of my time inventing new technologies because I think I’m better at that than making music. I’m still going to make music because I invent new songs. I invent new ways to make music, but I’m not a musician.’
He added: ‘I’m not going to stop until I’m like Elon Musk.’
