Rising star Denis Coleman is back with his latest single ‘Make Friends’ – a timely take on online relationships.

Dropping on streaming platforms this May 29th, ‘Make Friends’ marks a shift from the tropical production of hits ‘All I Wanna Know‘ and ‘Imperfect‘, which have seen the singer’s fan base grow rapidly over the last 12 months, in favour of simmering electro-pop. The single also lands with an animated music video that sees the singer take a cyber-trip.

“For me, ‘Make Friends’ was a song I had to write,” Coleman shared on Instagram. “Today, there are more ways to meet people than ever: there’s social media, chat groups, dating apps, gaming and so much more. But despite this, I feel like it’s getting harder to make meaningful friendships – not easier.”

“Being in isolation has changed the way I see the world, and I think I finally see things clearer! Sometimes we lose ourselves in the pursuit of unattainable social media standards (I know I do) but I’m starting to realise that it’s time to take responsibility, get out there and be the friends we need for the people around us.”

Cultivating a fan base off the back of knockout support sets for the likes of The Vamps and New Hope Club, CelebMix recently caught the Denis Coleman show in full-swing as he stopped off at Newcastle University Students Union with New Rules.
