Power couple and artists Beyoncé and MC Jay-Z were honored with the Vanguard Award GLAAD Media Awards on Thursday night.
The diva from Texas and rapper from New York were being recognized for their support of the LGBTQ community.
The duo often talks about the family members and close friends that they know who are gay.
Bey and her spouse delivered moving speeches but many are focused on the entertainer’s belly, and they believe she is pregnant with baby number four.
Jay-Z said this while on stage: “This journey is filled with highs, lows and a lot of learning. I’m following in her footsteps of spreading love and acceptance, and [thanking her] for her beautiful speech at the end of the song ‘Smile,’ and for allowing me to tell her story.”
Beyoncé confessed that she was “overwhelmed” by the award and added: “Whether it’s our fans or our family, the LGBTQI community has always supported us and lifted us up. And we thank you for that. We are here to promote love for every human being, and change starts with supporting the people closest to you. So let’s tell them they are loved, let’s remind them they are beautiful, and parents, let’s love our kids in their truest form.”
Beyoncé spoke about her uncle, Johnny, saying: “The most fabulous gay man I have ever met. He lived his truth; he was brave and unapologetic during a time when this country wasn’t as accepting. I’m hopeful that his struggle served to open pathways for other young people to live more freely.”

Beyoncé concluded her speech by taking a line from Hillary Clinton by saying: “LGBTQI rights are human rights. To choose who you love is your human right. How you identify and see yourself is your human right, who you make love to and take that a$s to Red Lobster is your human right!”
